“Far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, but which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world,” wrote St. Paul in Galatians 6:14. Martin Luther once said, “The cross alone is our theology!” To the cross, to the cross, to the cross we go as we continue our Lenten journey with our “Lamb of God…Who on the cross didst suffer” (LSB 434). And according to 1 Corinthians 1:21-25, we find eternal wisdom in the foolishness of God.
