A Christian and Liturgical Lutheran congregation serving Mustang, Yukon, Tuttle, and the greater Oklahoma City area.

Christ Lutheran Church in Mustang gathers each Sunday at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM for a traditional Lutheran Service, centered on God’s Word and the gifts of Christ. Worship follows the historic liturgy, including Scripture readings, preaching, prayer, hymns, and the celebration of Holy Communion. Communion is celebrated on the First and Third Sundays of the month at Early Service and the Second and Fourth Sundays of the month at Late Service. The services are reverent yet warm, rooted in the Lutheran confession that Christ comes to His people through His Word and Sacraments. Families, visitors, and guests of all ages are welcome as we join together to receive God’s grace and grow in faith. For information on Holy Communion and Holy Baptism, please see our What We Believe page.

A Note to Parents

We love having little ones in worship. To us children are an integral part of the church body and we put a high value on families worshiping together. We also understand that children like to wiggle, giggle, and talk. We do not mind, it makes us glad to know that children are with us! To help parents we have several resources for children to utilize during our worship times including busy bags and activity sheets. Off of the Fellowship Hall we have a Nursery and Cry Room. Adult bathrooms are equipped with changing tables for those in diapers. There is a children’s bathroom for toddlers, too! An usher would be glad to direct you to these locations if need be.

About Our Services

Services at Christ Lutheran might be different than with what you are familiar. We are what is referred to as “liturgical”. Without getting into a lot of history, this means that at Christ we use a form of worship that has been in use by Christian churches for thousands of years. We like that this connects us to centuries of believers before us. It is also the predominate form of worship used by Christians around the world, connecting us with Christians from all over!

Because this form of worship is so old, you might notice strange words in our bulletins or slides. Over the centuries, many parts of the service came to be commonly known by a Greek or Latin name which usually corresponded with the first word or words of that part of the service in the Greek or Latin. Do not be intimidated, our bulletins are easy to follow, everything we say and do is in English, and the people around you would be glad to help in any way they can to make you feel welcomed and relaxed.
