Easter Son-Rise

At Christ Lutheran Church in Mustang, Oklahoma, the Easter Son-Rise Service is a cherished tradition that joyfully celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Held at 7:00 AM on Easter Sunday, this service symbolizes the transition from darkness to light, reflecting Christ's victory over death.

• Scripture Readings: Passages such as Isaiah 25:6–9, which speaks of God's promise to abolish death, and John 20:1–18, recounting Mary Magdalene's encounter with the risen Christ, are read to emphasize the fulfillment of God's salvation plan.

• Sermon: The message focuses on the significance of the resurrection, highlighting themes of new life and hope, emphasizing that Christ’s victory over sin, death, and the devil is complete and certain.
