Music Ministry at Christ Lutheran – Mustang, OK
At Christ Lutheran Church in Mustang, Oklahoma, music is a vital part of our worship and community life. We believe that music is a gift from God that allows us to proclaim His Word, give thanks, and join together in praise. As Martin Luther said, “those who sings pray twice!” Whether you sing, play piano, organ, or another instrument, there is a place for you in our music ministry.
The Christ Lutheran Choir sings regularly during Sunday services, enriching worship with hymns and choral pieces that point us to Christ. Choir rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. from September through May. This dedicated group of singers provides an opportunity for fellowship, spiritual growth, and service to the congregation.
Our Handbell Choir offers a joyful and unique expression of praise through the rich, resonant sound of bells. This ensemble adds variety and beauty to worship services throughout the year.
We also invite children to lift their voices in praise! The Children’s Choir sings monthly in late service, teaching young people the joy of music while helping them grow in faith and confidence.
In addition to these groups, special music is shared by individuals and ensembles throughout the year, including seasonal celebrations, festival services, and other special occasions. These offerings highlight the diverse gifts God has given His people and bring depth to our congregational life.
Whether you are a lifelong musician or simply someone who loves to sing, you are welcome here. By participating in Christ Lutheran’s music ministry, you will find meaningful ways to serve, connect with others, and glorify God. As Bach signed off all his music, “To God alone be the glory!”
If you are interested in joining one of our choirs or sharing your musical talents, we encourage you to reach out and get involved. Together, we use the gift of music to proclaim Christ’s love and strengthen His Church.
