Christ Lutheran Church in Mustang Announces Christmas Eve Service of Nine Lessons and Carols
Mustang, Oklahoma — December 2025 — Christ Lutheran Church, located at 501 N. Clear Springs Road in Mustang, Oklahoma, invites the community to a joyful Christmas Eve celebration on Tuesday, December 24 at 7:00 PM. The congregation will host its annual Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, a Christmas worship service that blends Scripture, carols, and choral music to recount the biblical story of salvation—from the Fall in Genesis to the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Nine Lessons and Carols format includes nine readings from the Old and New Testaments, each followed by a corresponding Christmas hymn or choir anthem. This year’s service features beloved carols such as O Little Town of Bethlehem, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and O Come, All Ye Faithful, as well as special music from the church choir. The service concludes with candlelighting and the singing of Silent Night.
“This service is one of the most beautiful gatherings of the year and many people’s favorite service of the year,” said Rev. Daniel Ross, Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church. “Through Scripture and song, we hear the promise of a Savior and rejoice that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. It is a night of hope, peace, and joy.”
The Christmas Eve service is open to all, including families, visitors, and those new to the area. Seating is available in the sanctuary, and the service will also be broadcast locally on 88.3 FM for those listening from the parking lot.
