Christ Lutheran Church to Hold Candlelight Holy Communion Service on Christmas Eve
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mustang, Oklahoma — Christ Lutheran Church in Mustang will host its annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service with Holy Communion on Tuesday, December 24, at 10:00 PM. The congregation invites the community to join in this reverent celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
This traditional Divine Service includes the reading of the Christmas Gospel from Luke 2, the majestic opening of John 1 (“The Word became flesh”), and the prophecy of Christ’s coming from Isaiah 9. The service features classic Christmas hymns such as O Come, All Ye Faithful, Joy to the World, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and Silent Night sung by candlelight.
Holy Communion will be offered, rejoicing in the Savior who comes to us not only in the manger but also in His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. Christ Lutheran’s communion practices can be found on the What We Believe page.
This Christmas Eve service proclaims the heart of the season—Christ, the Light of the world, entering our darkness with grace, peace, and salvation.
All are welcome to attend.
The service will also broadcast locally on 88.3 FM for those wishing to listen from the parking lot.
