Christ Lutheran Church to hold an evening Thanksgiving service Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 7 p.m.
MUSTANG, Okla. — October 28, 2026 — Christ Lutheran Church will hold a Thanksgiving service with Holy Communion at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, at 501 N. Clear Springs Road in Mustang. The service is open to the public and free to attend.
This service serves as a reminder that God’s mercies are new to us every morning. Mankind is dependent on God for everything. And out of God’s loving and divine goodness He gives us all good things. The congregation will take time to reflect on the abundant blessings received from God this year, not forgetting the gift of faith. Even in the midst of heartache and difficulties, we have a treasure in heaven worth more than the entire world. The service is held the evening before Thanksgiving so it does not take away from family time on Thanksgiving Day.
“Thanksgiving kicks off the holiday season. For many it is a time of fun and joy. For others it sharpens feelings of pain and loss. This service is for both groups. It is a time to slow down and reflect on God’s providence in our lives, to ponder how God has carried us through the good times and the bad. And it once again gives us an opportunity to fix our eyes upon Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith,” said the Rev. Daniel Ross, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church.
Visitors are welcome. Parking is on the east and south sides of the building. For information on the church's Communion practice, visit christlutheranmustang.org/whatwebelieve or speak with Pastor Ross before the service.
Worshipers are invited to bring nonperishable food items to the service for donation to Christ Lutheran’s Food Pantry. Donations will be collected at the church entrance.
